Husky Safari

Season
From December to March

Day 1
We pick you up from the Ivalo airport and take you to our base in Inari, where you see your accommodation and have your first meeting with our friendly huskies. We have a welcoming dinner in the evening and then we have a chance to talk about the program for the following days, dogsledding and huskies.

Day 2
After breakfast we give you a lesson about dogsledding. We show you the mushing equipment, how to put on a harness, how to look after the dogs and drive a husky team. We equip you with additional warm clothing and
boots. Then we start off our about 20 km long trip through beautiful arctic spaces. During our Husky Safari we have breaks to water the dogs and give them some energy snacks. For us, some delicious hot tea or coffee
and a proper energy meal. After we return to our base, we look after the huskies: unharness them, check their condition, water and feed the dogs. Next we eat a tasty dinner and afterwards enjoy our relaxation time.

Day 3
After breakfast we start our first long husky safari, about 30-40 km. On the trail we do several breaks including one lunch break. After we return to our base we look after the huskies like on the previous day. We eat a tasty
dinner and get some rest after an eventful day. Day 4
Husky safari like on the previous day. We enjoy the beauty of the arctic landscape and the magical northern lights show. Amazing experience!

Day 5
Breakfast, good bye to the dogs and then we transport you to the Ivalo airport.

Price includes: transfers from and to the airport, full board, accommodation, winter clothing and boots, professional musher guide care.

Offer is available in Finland, place of residence village called Inari in Lapland, 300 km above Arctic Circle.
There is also a possibility to organize a Husky Safari in Swedish Lapland.
